Barcelona Platform Bed

Our Barcelona platform bed captures the spirit and drama of late 20th century design with a variety of subtle details. It is entirely handcrafted of solid mahogany in a dark brown finish. Designed for use with a mattress alone, it includes a sturdy, padded wood platform for proper mattress support. Queen bed pictured. Also available in tiger mahogany finish or as a daybed. Upholstered deck layout may vary by size.

Review: "The bed is beautiful and very well constructed. The directions for assembly are taped onto one of the platform pieces and are also online. The only problem that I didn't expect is that I keep stubbing my toes on the feet of the bed. It will take some time to get used to this as our previous bed had a headboard and platform, but no feet."

Review: "The bed arrived VERY well packed. In fact, it was so well packed, it took quite some time to extricate it to begin assembly. That's far better than having it arrive in pieces! As I assembled it alone, it took some mechanical ability (which I have), not to mention some strength (I'm a personal trainer, thankfully). My only complaint was that I could not find any assembly directions. With the help of a YouTube video and some of that mechanical ability, I figured it out and got it assembled, but it took about 6 hours to complete. Amusingly, as I was unwrapping the last platform to put in the base of the frame, I found the directions taped to the plastic on the back side! PLEASE, somewhere on the box or other packaging, put a BIG sign identifying where the directions are hidden!! Otherwise, it is an extremely solid, sturdy, well-built and beautiful piece of furniture. It is absolutely perfect for my organic memory foam bed. It was well worth the price and the effort."

Review: "We received our tiger mahogany Barcelona bed several days ago. The bed is exceptionally well made, sturdy and very heavy. Color is a beautiful rich brown with red undertones. I couldn't be more pleased. It was very well packed. So well, in fact, that it was difficult to separate it from all that packaging. Make sure to allot some extra time for that. On the upside, not a single scratch on it. It would be great if additional furniture was sold along with it. Or at least night stands. Still, the bed itself is great."

Review: "The Barcelona platform bed we ordered several years ago fits perfectly in our Florida home. We spent many years looking for a solid, contemporary bed. We were so happy with our purchase. It came crated and there was not one scratch on the bed. Before we bought the bed, I called New York and spoke with a salesman who assured me that we could put the bed together. We put it together with no trouble at all. We definitely would buy another bed from Chas. Rogers."

Review: "I have been looking for a bed for the longest time. I have been looking as this perticular bed for the longest time. At first I thought this might be a little expensive for mu budget. Finally I decided I will buy it anyway because it was my birthday gift for myself. Not only looks beautifull and classy it is unbeleivably comfortable. Honestly as much as I tell everybody how comfortable it is will not be possiable to know unless you guys try it. Everybody has to see the packaging, it shows how they value their product and costemer. The most important was the person who answered the phone and helped me with purchase, I honestly thought I am speaking with the very dear family member. Very sweet and kind. You can tell she loves her job and she is very happy with working there. That tells alot about the place.Thank you it is worth every penny."

These folks were awesome to deal with through all contacts, including delivery. Packed extremely well and arrived in perfect condition. Bed has a beautiful finish, and is well constructed and every bit as good as it looks in the pictures."

Review: "Have had our king bed for over a month now and my wife and I are very pleased with it. We were looking for a solid bed with strong support. Both my wife and I are tall and we have two kids who routinely join us and jump on our bed. This bed has good solid wood construction and the base frame and platform are very sturdy. We also wanted a low profile headboard as our bed sits under a window and we did not want to block much of the window. This bed is a perfect fit as it goes maybe an inch above the window sill. I was also very pleased with the service from CPR. I had originally looked at another bed on their web site and I called the 800 number with a question, only to learn that the bed I called about was not in stock. The sales rep directed me to consider this bed and gave me good information about it. I was unsure about ordering a bed online, so I put a deposit on it and they let me think about it. I called back a few days later and made the purchase and scheduled delivery and paid for set up. The delivery was on time and the two men had the bed set up and all materials cleaned up in about 30 minutes. No problems. Overall very good experience"
