It can serve as a guide for how you organize your home’s interior, particularly the bedroom. Promote positive energy by de-cluttering the space, carefully positioning your bed, and choosing a soothing and sensual color palette.
Reduce Distractions
Many of us like to watch TV from the bed, but it actually interferes with the activities that the space is intended for—rest and romance. If you can’t part with your TV, then place it in a cabinet such as an armoire that allows you to close the doors when you are not watching. Clear out clutter in the closet and on your bookshelves. A compromise is to place a folding screen in order to block your view of these areas from the bed.
Feng Shui Bed Placement
Symmetry is an important aspect of Feng Shui. Don’t align the bed with the door; instead locate the headboard against a solid wall. A headboard also helps to anchor and stabilize the bed. Also, you should not place your bed against a wall length-wise; it must remain easily accessible from both sides. To further maintain balance, add night-stands on each side of the bed.
Soothing Color Palette
Feng Shui experts recommend decorating your bedroom with skin tones, such as peach, cream, and chocolate. You can also go with soothing cool colors evocative of nature, like blue and green. Add a splash of a bright shade like coral or red, which are considered to be ‘passion colors.’
