“Show Us Some Love”

This Valentine’s Day, we want to give you a gift.
A BRAND NEW BED. Just show us some love.

We LOVE beds.  A bed says so much about a person or a couple or a family; and your bedroom shows your personality. Are you messy or neat?  Do you have a classic or contemporary sense of style?  Does your pet share the bed with you?  Do you watch movies or eat in bed?  It is an important part of your daily life.

For the month leading up to Valentine’s Day, we invite you to let us know why you love your bed. Charles P. Rogers is leaving the question open ended – but please keep it clean – letting you show us your idea of Valentine’s Day as it relates to our favorite room in the house.  Send us a video of your husband playing “No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed” with your kids, a picture of you and your new beau deciding who gets whose side of the bed, or a sonnet to your bed celebrating the goodnight’s sleep you get on your mattress.  Whether you read yourself to sleep or stay up late talking about your day to your long distance love on the phone, we want to see an example of how your bed is an important part of your Valentine’s Day.

We’ll post select submissions on our web site during the month and on Valentine’s Day the CPR judges will choose a winner  based on creativity, execution and exhibition of the “Show Us Some Love” theme.  That lucky winner will select his or her choice of one of our three QUEEN beds, Newhouse, Newfield, or Barcelona, for free, shipped to you anywhere in the US for you to enjoy.  It’s open to everyone so please send us your example now.

Hey there! Remember that Country Living House of the Year we’ve been telling you about? The one that’s got our Lloyd daybed and St. Regis mattress in it? New to the blog perhaps? Here’s a refresher: The folks over at Country Living magazine have an annual House of the Year showcase where they create and display a house with the help of the best and brightest design and architectural forces. This year’s House of the Year was built in New York for the first time, Manhattan, to be specific, in partnership with New World Home, an organization whose focus is to imbue classic home creation and design with a more eco-friendly focus.

We showed you stills of the house before, but now we’ve got a slideshow, a sort of virtual walkthrough, if you will, that gives a better look at the bedroom and our beautiful bed in it. Kudos to Country Living and New World Home for a job well done!

We’ve got some great news for you! Charles P. Rogers is going to be featured on national television! One of our products will be featured on the brand new daytime talk show The Nate Berkus Show. Nate, who some of you may remember from his various appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show, will be doing a segment called “How to make your bedroom look like a 5-star hotel” on an upcoming episode, and our Newhouse Ultra White headboard will be featured!

The Nate Berkus Show airs on NBC. Our episode will air on Friday, November 26th. Check your local listing to see when Nate is on. Keep an eye out for us! Cheers to the folks over at the show for featuring our gorgeous headboard. Here’s our own 5-star take.

The more watchful among our faithful readers that are familiar with Country Living magazine may have noticed a Charles P. Rogers bed being featured in their pages. Country Living’s November issue features a photographic tour of the magazine’s annual House of the Year. Take a peek below and you’ll get a glimpse of our very own Lloyd daybed and St. Regis daybed mattress, which adorn the house’s gorgeous and vibrantly designed guest room. We are glad to have been involved in this historic process, and we’d like to thank our buddies over at Country Living for getting us involved.

Country Living teamed up with the home design maestros in New World Home to create this year’s house. The house was erected in Manhattan, a first for the annual showcase. It is also the first House of the Year to have an eco-friendly ethos. New World Home built the house with a focus on environmentally conscious design, and even the smallest details about it are in place in service to the larger task of reducing waste and cutting power usage and costs.
