Chambord Sleigh Daybed - Mahogany
Handcrafted in solid Mahogany with a hand-rubbed antique Mahogany finish. Uses standard twin size mattress and includes upholstered platform for proper mattress support. Optional trundle unit stores a second mattress underneath. Our optional St Regis or Chelsea firm mattresses provide excellent comfort, quality and substantial savings when purchased with daybed.

"I originally wanted this bed, the trundle, the linen duvet and sham, and a set of sheets. I wound up buying only the bed after a series of employee blunders while also discovering that the trundle does not work as you would imagine. It is nice, but it appears to have a flaw and my confidence in the company being able to handle it is so low, I have procrastinated in reporting it. Then they asked me to review their product and it seems the perfect opportunity to get heard:
Each employee appeared to be genuinely nice. However, between salesperson rivalry, which I somehow got caught between, and employee job incompetence, I am not sure the product was worth the trouble of getting it. I have never experienced so many blatant and unnecessary errors in a sales transaction, ever! Each person I spoke to, although nice, gave me a different story for every problem I encountered. My attempts to speak with the person in charge were met by the proverbial brick, or rather invisible, wall. The details of the various sale-related problems are too mind numbingly dumb to repeat here.
Suffice to say that I have a pretty bed, but the wood appears painted instead of varnished, so you cannot see much of the wood grain. The headboard wobbles. My attempts to locate the cause of the wobble were unsuccessful: all bolts are tight, but the frame where it connects to the headboard is loose and it causes it to not stand up straight but at an inward angle. The footboard is tight and stands straight. I am at a loss as to what to do, for I fear the problems I will have to deal with if I attempt to get the wobble resolved.
And to top it all off, the page froze when I tried to submit this review and I had to start all over. Time is $."

"I was apprehensive about spending for something I had not actually seen. I called and had a lot of questions, all of which representative answered with lots of confidence. When the bed was delivered, the gentlemen were professional.
I am very happy with my purchase. I found the website in a magazine while waiting for the doctor. What a find. I had looked for months and was about to settle for less, but I am so glad I didn't. The bed is well made and I have used the pop up trundle separate and next to the bed as a full. It's just perfect for the homes with small rooms, and yet allows room for guests."

"This craftsmanship on this bed us beautiful! The finish is very smooth...perfection. It went together perfectly. I ordered the Euro-slats and very happy with the comfort.
The only thing that I'm not totally happy about is the trundle. We haven't had to use it yet, but there are tiny flecks of black paint on the floor chipped off from the metal frame some place.
Charles P Rogers customer service was wonderful to deal with. The process was exactly as they said on-line. I only called them one time and they were very helpful."

Furniture Delivery Service
Beds that are in stock ship within a few days. The "Shipping Class", based on weight and size, is listed underneath the prices for each style. Delivery charges within the lower 48 states for each Class are listed below. Our furniture deliveries are made by express carrier. Service includes delivery inside your front door. Because our beds are large, bulky items, we recommend you arrange for another person to help with assembly. Service to Alaska, Hawaii and worldwide is also available at reasonable rates, please call a showroom for more information.

This bed is constructed from solid, genuine Mahogany (Swietenia macrophylla) considered to be one of the finest furniture woods in the world due to it's beauty, durability and working properties. We use only FAS grade "first and seconds" lumber, the highest industry grade available. All of our Mahogany beds utilize only legal and ecologically sustainable plantation grown Mahogany. Our use of carefully managed and harvested Mahogany insures that your investment in a Charles P. Rogers bed is sound both from an environment standpoint as well as an aesthetic one. This Mahogany bed is a product that will remain useful for generations and is manufactured with careful and thoughtful use of natural resources. We believe this is most sound practice as a bed that continues it's usefulness for multiple generations minimizes the need for replacement items.
