Review: "This bed is really beautiful, and very sturdy. We bought the king size to use with our Tempurpedic mattress. It was easy to put together (I did it with my 9 year old helping). The angles on the side rails were not cut exactly the same which made the assembly a bit trickier, but it was doable. We've been sleeping on the bed for several months and we're completely satisfied with it."

Review: "Ordered our bed (with vintage brown leather headboard) and got in about a week and a half later here in VA. In unwrapping, we found that the side rails had some minor damage and contacted the company. They took a day or two to find matching side rails in the warehouse, and shipped those to us instead. No hassle, no problem. New rails were fine. Bed was easy to put together. We have a memory foam mattress on it, and it works very well, looks great. Thanks Charles P. Rogers, we'll be back to buy another frame for our guest room before long!"

Review: "This is the second bed I have bought from Charles P. Rogers and it has lived up to my high expectations based on my experience with the first bed. Not only did they deliver it up 100 steps to my house and set it up and take away all the cartons and packaging, but it has been a great bed. Before I bought it, I had been having back problems sleeping on an overpriced memory-foam mattress. For relief, I decided to try sleeping on the pop-up trundle guest bed I had gotten from Charles P. Rogers. After a week, I realized I needed to chuck the memory foam and get another Charles P. Rogers bed for my bedroom. So I got their firmest mattress, which is firm without being hard, and this Madera Platform bed, which is as close to perfect as I can imagine. I can tuck the blanket and sheets as in the photos here, or just leave them loose on the sides - either way, it looks great and works with my existing bookcase headboard. The only thing I had to do to make it fit in my bedroom was to lower all the paintings on the walls (since the bed is closer to the ground than my former mattress/box spring set) and now the room looks in balance. And even though the platform bed is closer to the ground, there is actually more space under the bed for vacuuming or storage than I had with the old bed. Another great bed from Charles P. Rogers."

Review: "This was a great experience. The finish shown on the website was spot on, and a perfect match with my existing bedroom furniture. The frame was delivered on time as promised, and was exactly what I'd expected. It's gorgeous. I had read that the frame took two people and a couple of hours to put together, and I was a little nervous about that, but I put it together by myself in about 45 minutes; the instructions were clear, and the assembly was easy. The whole transaction, from ordering to assembly, could not have gone more smoothly, and could not have had better results. I doubt I'll buy another bed any time soon, but I would buy from Rogers again in a heartbeat; I've already recommended them to friends who were wary about buying furniture online but have changed their minds since seeing my new bed."

Review: "I ordered the Madera queen in Mahogony. We live in FL and were delighted to receive the shipment w/in 2 wks of order. The shipment was broken down into 3 boxes so I could carry them upstairs w/o any trouble. I am in my 60s. I had been reluctant to order due to several reviewers saying they needed an extra piece or, worse, had to drill holes into the right places. Well, we had NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER. Took my wife and me 30 mins to set up. EVERY hole lined up perfectly, and we had exactly what we needed in hardware, as well as a wrench and allen wrench for assembly. The only thing we needed was scissors to open the packages. I'd also seen comments about scratches and shipping damage. We had NO DAMAGE WHATSOEVER. CP Rogers packs the pieces very carefully, so it's hard to see how they could be damaged. My only complaint is the order page on the CP Rogers website. I had my order set to submit when I decided to be extra careful and recheck the item a couple of pages back. It was the right item, so I hit forward to get back to the order page and hit submit. Some of you may know already what happened. I got 2 beds!!! I order a lot online and a few sites do this; it's very irritating. Well, we had bought the Madera at a clearance price and, altho we knew we could return the extra bed, we knew we'd have to pay for shipping. So we decided to keep it or give it away to one of our children for Xmas. Except for this, our experience w/ CP Rogers was PERFECT!"

Review: "This is my 3rd Charles P. Rogers bed, after the Zen and the Solide. If I have another room, I'll get the Sleigh platform bed too. I also got the sleigh day bed. All of these furnitures are rock solid so you could never be wrong. The only disappointment is they charged me for delivery fee when it was advertised free delivery on that 2nd purchase. The first purchase was delivered free."

Review: "From my first phone call to this company to sleeping on the bed last night, I can only say there is a reason this company remains in business for over 100 years. The sales person was knowledgeable and courteous, the bed shipped on time and minimal packaging needed to protect the fine woods they use, and the assembly package consisted of about 6 nuts and bolts along with two tools. I first visited Ikea knowing their items are packed with literally a hundred parts and pieces of hardware, delivery is expensive and getting into a car is impossible, and worst of all, the slightest movement of an Ikea product requiring assembly creates a loss of integrity of the item. This Charles P. Rogers bed is solid mahogany, took 20 minutes to assemble, and the platform on which the mattress rests is handsome and extremely solid. All of the pieces of this bed are made to fit so precisely and the assemble is so simple that you cannot make a mistake, even if you are not handy with tools. If you seek a new bed, stop here and go no further. You might pay a few dollars more but only a few (compare platforms at Ikea starting at $500 for the cheapest queen size) and you will not find a bed with more solid construction, easy assembly, and delivered right to your home. We were looking for something with clean lines and no fuss to fit in with our decor. We chose the tiger mahogany finish which is beautifully rich in color and matches our other bedroom furniture. We put the bed together(very easy) ourselves with no problem, all sections fitting together well. The bed is solid, doesn't creak and looks handsome in our bedroom.
