Newhouse Bed - Ultra White

Classic mid-century Bauhaus design updated for the 21st century. The crisply detailed headboard is upholstered in soft, supple top-grain white leather with hand-tufted buttons and welts. The layered inner upholstery make it very comfortable and durable. The bed includes solid Mahogany rails and feet. The headboard only option has Mahogany feet and can be mounted to a standard metal bed frame. Queen bed pictured.

Review: "Took time to read all reviews before purchasing. I love these beds but am not a fan of platforms. I am tall and don't like to sleep low to the ground.Problem solved. Purchased the Newhouse headboard in espresso and the iron frame only. Love it! so elegant and not overpowering. The biltmore mattress was also purchased, states that it is plush but is very firm. This will take some time, if ever to get use to. The bed linnen are nice and the linen bedskirt gives the whole bed a very nice and finished look. I would recommend any of their beds but be careful of the biltmore mattress, more frim than plush! Rated a 9 only because of the mattress but the true overall experience and look is a 10"

Review: "This is an absolutely gorgeous bed! The craftsmanship is superb. If you are a large person, this is the bed for you, no squeaks or creaks. It is so solidly built. We ordered the bed just before Hurricane Sandy hit NYC. The customer service rep went out of his way to keep in contact with us regarding our delivery by checking his emails at home since their offices were without power. I highly recommend doing business with Charles P Rogers. (Also, it's worth the extra $'s to have the delivery team set up the bed. They are very efficient and professional.)"

Review: "Very nice. It is everything CPR promised, and you can't ask for more. I did read the reviews, and listened to the coloration remarks. This leather is a very appealing off-white color--more beige than white. This is what I was looking for. It is very upscale looking, and the construction quality is apparent Bed arrived well before promised, but, on a date I agreed to. Delivery was friendly and professional. Furniture was extremely well packaged to ensure no damage occurred. It took me longer to unload the furniture than it did to set it up. This is probably a 2-man job, but, i did it all by myself. There is also an installation video online somewhere. Just a very good process for people like me who hate going into stores."

Review: "I was a little apprehensive about making such a large purchase online, however I was pleasantly relieved once we unpacked and assembled the Newhouse ultra white bed in cal king. The bed was packed so well it could've gone to the moon and back without any damage! I would recommend having two strong people to assemble it since all of the components are fairly heavy. I was impressed with how well constructed the components are and how sturdy the bed is. One thing to note is that the color of the leather headboard is definitely not what I would call ultra white -- it's more of a winter white, so I highly recommend ordering a free sample to be sure you know the color before ordering the bed. The only negative comment I could make is that the original salesperson I dealt with was not very professional, however, the other associates I spoke with were very professional and courteous."

Review: "The friday of Memorial day weekend I purchased the New House Bed. I had been looking for a bed for months as I was redoing my bedroom. Steve the sales associate helping me was very knowledgable and I felt confident about my purchase. The morning of my scheduled delivery I called up to change the color of the headboard from Brown to Ultra White and switch the rail to the Dark Mohageny - they were very accommodating and I was able to get my new bed a week later... I LOVE LOVE LOVE THE LOOK OF MY BED- It's definitely better than the west elm version. The Biltmoore mattress is a bit firmer than I had remembered from the store but I am getting used to it and I sleep through the night. The forward facing foot rail was slightly damaged upon delivery (small nick) they ordered a new one and I am waiting for it to arrive.. No biggie. In all I would say that I am very happy with my purchase and have happily told every one who comments on my bed where I purchased it. Jason NYC - East 20th St"

Review: "I ordered this bed for a client. I did order finish samples prior to the order. There was a bit of a mix up and I received wood samples for another product. I was told there were no samples for the dark mahogany color. I found that a bit disturbing. I have a hard time ordering something without being able to see the samples with the other furniture going into the room. So- I bit the bullet and ordered anyways because we really liked the look of the bed. I also felt the price was good as well. The headboard itself has nice, soft leather, but it is NOT white. It is cream. I knew this though as the leather sample was the same color. The name is just deceiving- Ultra white sounds like bright white. Definitely cream. Anyhow- The set up crew I used put the bed together in about 30 minutes- 2 Guys. I'm not sure how difficult it would be for a regular person, but the parts were all in the boxes. The bed is truly beautiful! My client is incredibly happy with it."

It looks and feels of high quality although it's made in China (very surprised). The assembly took us about an hour. From the date of order to the date of delivery took @ 5 weeks. I am very pleased."

This bed looks like it cost much more then it did, the leather is a very high quality. I agree with other reviews that this is more of a creamy white, not a bright white. Review: "i love this bed. everything about it is beautiful, its color is just the right white, not too dark, the crafstmanship is exquisite, the design is stylish and pretty, the structure is very strong, the delivery/installation was effective and careful. the only thing i still haven't had time to figure out is about the wood, the wooden board/member (beam?) seems too hard to be wood, on the surface it's perfectly good wood but knocking it feels like steel, maybe it's wood-covered steel? it really hurts to bump into it. but this only attests to its sturdiness. it's beautiful nonetheless, gorgeous really, everbody ooo's and ahhh's over it!!"
