Each platform bed is made by hand using solid hardwood planks, including American CherryCherry - Deciduous tree grown in many hardwood forests in the U.S. Due to its excellent strength, color and ease of working and beautiful finishing properties, Cherry is considered a superior tight grain lumber for use in fine furniture and cabinetry.

Hand sandedSanding - Using an abrasive to smooth the surface of a material for finishing. Proper sanding runs through a series of different grade of abrasive; each grade used to remove the tiny scratches left by the last until only a mirror smooth surface remain. Machines are utilized in some operations but careful hand sanding insures crisp profiles and preservation of details. Hand blocks are used to maintain dead flat surfaces.

Unique Platform Beds
Another original platform bed design exclusive to Charles P. Rogers, the Mondrian, accepts a traditional boxspring and mattress. The boxspring is set into the design allowing the bed to have the spare and clean look of a platform bed while still utilizing the manufacturers recommended box spring.
