The Covid-19 situation is still evolving. No matter the change, our first priority will always be the health and well being of our customers, staff, and partners. We are monitoring and adapting all health and safety recommendations as currently expressed by Federal, State, and Local authorities. We will be updating our procedures and policies as required for the health of our communities.

As always, our master bed makers, warehouse, and support teams are still on the payroll, ready to provide safe, reliable service.

We've been making beds and mattresses in New York since 1855.
Over that long history, we've been through good times and bad.
And have learned again and again, working together, the American spirit will always prevail.

These days a good nights' sleep is more important than ever and we're here to give you exactly that.

- The Charles P. Rogers Team

Iron Sleigh Bed Collection | Charles P. Rogers® Est. 1855

The iron sleigh bed is one of our most enduring of metal bed designs. We have been making iron sleigh beds since 1855 and still use the same authentic techniques to craft our beds today. Our attention to detail and the use of traditional metal-working skills insures the finest finished products for your home.

The beautifully detailed castings on our beds come from original hand-carved patterns in our archives. Our exclusive finishes are applied by hand in multiple layers and the final coats hand rubbed to a smooth sheen for a superior finish and patina. Whether you are searching for a traditional iron sleigh bed or a more contemporary open foot style, every bed we make is an original and unique creation made to order, for you, in our own factories.

When Charles P. Rogers founded our company in 1855, little did he know that his company would be as long-lived as the beds he made. Today we celebrate over 150 years of business with an ever-expanding selection of beds that includes classics from our early days, contemporary designs from the entire 20th century and premium bed linens.

The beds you see on our web site are different from those on other web sites and in catalogs or stores. Each is an original, exclusive design, made in our own factories and sold directly by us to you. We use authentic materials and processes in their construction and pay particular attention to proportion and detail in order to retain the integrity of the original design while accommodating contemporary bedding sizes.

All of our products are made to the same high standards and offer quality and value that becomes ever more apparent over a lifetime of ownership. Our range of prices is representative of differences in materials and complexity.

By necessity we remain a small company as our products cannot be mass-produced. The advantage for you is that our staff understands and cares how beds are made and they know the best way to get them to your home efficiently and economically.

Since our inception, we have manufactured and sold our products directly to the public from our Manhattan factory showroom or by mail or phone in our catalog. Locations are also located in NJ and PA. Our warehouse in FL is also open to the public. Right now, a large selection of our most popular styles are in stock and available at substantial savings from made to order prices. Simply order online, by telephone or by visiting one of our showrooms. We look forward to assisting you in any way possible.
