Searching for unique hand-crafted headboards, made of leather, wood, iron or brass? You've come to the right place. Founded in 1855, Charles P. Rogers is a manufacturer of original brass, iron and wood beds, daybeds, trundle beds, leather beds, canopy beds, headboards and bed linens. Every Charles P. Our original bed styles are tried-and-true classics, appropriately proportioned and accurate to the original design, yet sized to fit modern mattresses. Decorative elements are carved, cast or forged using original patterns from our archives.

We offer our products directly to the public from our factory showrooms in Manhattan, Newark, and King of Prussia, as well our Port St. Lucie, Florida warehouse and factory. Iron and Brass Beds & Headboards

Handcrafted Iron Beds

Since 1855, we have been dedicated to producing the finest heirloom quality iron beds and headboards available. Our wrought iron beds are truly substantial, weighing as much as five times as much as modern reproductions. Our use of traditional processes for casting, forging and finishing iron beds has not changed. This gives our beds a superior vintage iron bed surface, finish and more authentic feel than other iron beds. We make each of our iron beds by hand in our own workshops. We offer traditional antique and contemporary iron bed frames, iron canopy beds, iron & brass beds and iron trundle beds and daybeds. Every Charles P. Rogers iron bed reflects our continuing commitment to the finest in design, detailing and craftsmanship to insure our iron beds bring you a lifetime of enjoyment and service.

Iron and Brass Beds
Many of our solid iron beds have detailed decorative brass accents and utilize brass tube in the bed designs. We use only pure, heavy gauge brass tubing on all of our iron bed designs. Brass castings, caps and fittings are all solid brass and cast using sand molds built using patterns from our exclusive archives. Brass castings and parts are substantial and heavy adding to the overall authenticity of our iron beds. The quality of our brass insures that over time a beautiful patina will develop. Each iron and brass bed is finished by hand in a sequence of layers, the brass being carefully antiqued or polished by skilled artisans. Simple, strong assembly combined with our traditional production methods makes our iron beds a cut above modern reproductions.

Traditional Wrought Iron Beds
Each iron bed we make is individually hand forged using solid iron bar, precise joinery and finely detailed solid metal castings. We offer both traditional and more contemporary iron sleigh bed designs, each carefully proportioned for modern bedding sizes to enhance the beauty and elegance, and to provide proper strength while maintaining the integrity of the original design. Our iron bed finishes are all hand applied in multiple layers, giving all of our iron beds a unique luminosity and charm usually found only in antique iron beds.
Castings for all of our iron beds are made in the same traditional manner as our brass parts. Hand carved wood patterns are used to make sand molds into which molten metal is poured. The castings are made directly onto the iron framework, and then finished by hand. Though more costly and time consuming than modern methods, you can see the difference by eye. Details are precise and fully formed and give our iron beds a unique appeal and integral strength.
