Product Information
This is an example of a response that you might give. It's good to be as thorough as possible in responses as that has a tendency to improve trust overall.
We receive many calls from customers whose expectations are surpassed and find our beds better than they thought. We have done our best to represent each item accurately as possible on our website, but we do consider each of our items a unique and handmade object subject to slight variations. Due to photographic lighting variations, the unique and authentic nature of the materials in our products and the hand-applications of finishes to each product, some slight variances are inherent. While we attempt to make every product we make as pleasing and beautiful as possible, your computer's monitor settings or the browser used may effect the way finish colors or textures appear on screen.
Many of our leathers, woods and fabrics do have swatches available by request. Due to the heavy nature of our iron and brass materials and the limitations in reproducing those finishes on a lighter material, metal swatch finishes are not available. To request a swatch sample, please call 1-800-582-6229. Monday-Friday 9-8, Saturday 10-7, Sunday 12-6.

At Charles P. Rogers we take sleeping temperature seriously. We have gone to great lengths to make sure we use the most breathable, cooling materials on the planet. Mattresses that sleep hot essentially trap your body heat as you sleep and dont allow airflow. At Rogers, our combinations of steel springs and materials like Talalay latex and cooling gel foams ensure your body heat can escape and a cool nights rest is available to you.
Selecting a mattress is an important task, and we always recommend working with one of our sleep specialists. Important factors include height, weight, sleep position, age and comfort preference. If you're having trouble deciding after viewing our website, our team of professionals will use your personal information, while drawing off over 165 years of experience, to match you with the perfect surface comfort to fit your individual needs.
At the core of each Rogers mattress lies our exclusive innerspring technology known as the Powercore. Crafted from robust tempered steel, the springs boast a higher coil count per unit compared to other prominent brands in the market. We project that our queen size mattress is capable of accommodating a body weight exceeding 1000 lbs.
Typically, our mattresses take approximately 72 hours to expand to their full dimensions. However, you may begin enjoying it the same day it is opened and should not notice a difference in feeling.
Maintaining Your Bed + Bedding
Dust your bed with a clean, dry cloth as needed. Spills may be simply wiped off. Our painted finishes are applied by hand in multiple layers of glaze imparting a luminosity and an overall effect that cannot be duplicated by any other process. A clear top coat is then applied to protect the finish from daily wear and tear. Unlike baked on plastic and powder coated finishes, our finishes have an authentic, soft, natural patina and are repairable should they ever become damaged. Simply shake the repair bottle which came with your bed, and dab sparingly into the damaged area and let dry completely.
Simply dust when necessary with a dry, soft cloth. Spills can be blotted up immediately with a clean cloth or paper towel. That's it! There is no need for application of polishes or oils. Remember, it is a normal occurrence that over time air, sunlight and handling will slightly change the color and sheen of our natural wood beds. Irregularities in the wood such as grain patterns, small knots, or other characteristics are not defects, rather desirable qualities inherent to genuine hardwood construction.
Taking care of your brass bed is not difficult, just a little bit of preventive care and regular maintenancewill keep your brass looking great for years to come.
1. If you’ve spilled liquid on the brass bed, wipe off the liquid immediately.
2. Do not hang wet clothing on your brass bed, moisture is the enemy of brass.
3. Once you wipe the spilled liquid, try to wax your bed as soon as possible.
4. Wax your bed regularly, we recommend once a month as an optimal schedule.
5. Do not use metal polishers of any kind, they contain abrasives that will damage your bed’s finish. To wax your bed, you will need a can of paste wax, choose a paste wax that contains wax and solvents only. (No added silicon…etc.). Latex gloves, cheesecloth or microfiber cloth for waxing and polishing. Making sure the cloth is clear of grits of any kind, the grits will scratch your bed. Wipe a small piece of the cloth into the paste wax, no need to get a large glop, you can always go back and get more wax from the can. Apply the wax on to the brass parts in a circular motion. You should see a very thin layer of wax being deposited on your brass bed, let the wax dry thoroughly before polishing. When the wax turns hazy and/or whitish in color, use a new piece of cloth to remove the dry wax. The bed will have a silky tactile feel as you start removing the wax, you can buff the brass more for a smoother feel. Remember the wax is what protects your brass beds from the environment. It is normal for the brass to be lighter in color in areas of the bed that get more handling, such as the finials of the bed. In areas that don’t get much handling, the brass will age into a darker patina. That is the beauty of a solid brass bed is no two beds will have the same look as they age. Please enjoy your Charles P Rogers Bed solid brass bed for years to come!
