The Covid-19 situation is still evolving. No matter the change, our first priority will always be the health and well being of our customers, staff, and partners. We are monitoring and adapting all health and safety recommendations as currently expressed by Federal, State, and Local authorities. We will be updating our procedures and policies as required for the health of our communities.

As always, our master bed makers, warehouse, and support teams are still on the payroll, ready to provide safe, reliable service.

We've been making beds and mattresses in New York since 1855.
Over that long history, we've been through good times and bad.
And have learned again and again, working together, the American spirit will always prevail.

These days a good nights' sleep is more important than ever and we're here to give you exactly that.

- The Charles P. Rogers Team

Queen Platform Bed from America's Oldest | Charles P. Rogers® Est. 1855

In today's design-conscious world, a queen-sized platform bed has become the focal point of many a modern bedroom. Beautiful in its simplicity and functional by design, these qualities can sometimes belie the sophistication and skill put into building a high quality platform bed, particularly in the large queen, king, and California king sizes.

We begin every platform bed with a thoughtful original design, conceived by our in-house design team, emphasizing clean lines and strong traditional joinery. Built in our own factories, our expert craftsmen carefully select the materials and craft each bed with strict attention to proportion, fit and finish. We offer beds in solid wood, steel and upholstery. Used with only a mattress (no box spring), a solid wood deck provides proper strength and support. Our platform beds strike a delicate balance between elegance and durability, bringing the best of modern design to your home.

When Charles P. Rogers founded our company in 1855, he may not have realized that his business would be as long-lasting as the beds he made. Today we celebrate over 150 years of business with an ever-expanding selection of models and styles, including classics from our early days, and contemporary designs from the entire 20th century. We now also offer premium bed linens that add additional comfort and elegance to any of the beds in our collection.

You will not see the products on our web site on any other site, or in other catalogs or stores.  Each of our items is an original, exclusive design, made in our own factories and available for our customers (you) to purchase directly from the manufacturer (us). Do not be fooled by inferior imitations.  We use authentic materials and processes in their construction and pay particular attention to proportion and detail in order to retain the integrity of classic designs while accommodating contemporary bedding sizes.

All of our products are made to the same high standards and offer quality and value that becomes ever more apparent over a lifetime of ownership. Our range of prices is representative of differences in materials and complexity of construction. But because of the factory-direct nature of our business, all our pricing represents substantial discounts over what you would pay for similar quality in traditional retail chains or specialty stores.

By necessity we have remained a small company as our products cannot be mass-produced. The advantage for you is that our staff understands and cares how our products are made and they know the best way to get them to your home efficiently and economically. We are also dedicated to resolving any issues that may arise during your purchase and ownership and welcome the opportunity to add you to our growing list of delighted customers.

Since our inception, we have manufactured and sold our products directly to the public from our Manhattan factory showroom or by mail or phone in our catalog. Our locations in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Florida are also open to the public. Right now, a large selection of our most popular styles are in stock and available at substantial savings from made-to-order prices. Simply order online, by telephone or by visiting one of our factory showrooms. We look forward to assisting you in any way possible.
