Leather Panel Bed - Leather Beds | Charles P. Rogers® Est. 1855

Looking for a unique leather panel bed or trundle/daybed in leather? You'll find one here. since 1855, Charles P. Rogers has designed and manufactured original beds, daybeds, headboards, trundle beds, canopy beds and bedding. Our product line has evolved to include wood and leather bed styles as well as high quality bed linens that will complement any of our elegant beds or daybeds.

Our Newhouse leather panel bed makes subtle, sophisticated use of hand-tufted squares and slightly canted back in a contemporary panel bed design. It is upholstered in a choice of supple full and top grain leathers and has a solid Mahogany frame and feet hand-finished to coordinate beautifully with the leathers.

The detailing is evident in decorative use of top stitching on the perimeter and panels of the headboard and footboard. The bed rails and feet are solid mahogany, with the rails shaped to match the contour of the bed. Available as bed with matching headboard or headboard alone in Queen and King sizes.

The framework for each of our leather beds is handcrafted from kiln-dried hardwood. Upholstery is built up in multiple layers to provide ideal firmness and comfort with special attention given to maintaining the shape and contour of the final form. Advanced high density foam can be found exclusively on many Charles P. Rogers beds. Its advantage is that it conforms to the required shape. Yet it returns to its full, original shape when pressure is removed. The comfort is exceptional with the added benefit of retaining its full, upholstered form without sagging or wrinkling. The bed rails are crafted from solid planks of plantation-grown mahogany and feature a concealed, solid steel inner rail that provides superior support for the mattress and boxspring along the periphery and in the center of the bed.

By necessity, we remain a small family-owned business as our products cannot be mass-produced. The advantage for you is that our staff knows and cares how beds are made and we know how to get them to your home efficiently, economically and professionally assembled. After all, who wants to buy a fine bed only to have it arrive damaged or incorrectly assembled?

We offer our products directly to the public from our website, Manhattan factory showroom and catalog, as well our New Jersey Clearance Center. Products listed on our website and in our catalog are currently in production or in stock allowing us to offer substantial savings from our regular made-to-order prices.

Upholstered Beds & Headboards

Handcrafted Upholstered Beds and Headboards

Our collection of handmade leather beds, leather headboards and upholstered beds and headboards has a wide breadth of styles. Styles include leather sleigh beds, leather wing beds, traditionally tufted leather beds and modern leather headboards. Our classic leather beds are carefully proportioned for size, style and decorative details. We begin with a well engineered frame for strength and carefully construct it to reflect the final details of the design. High resilience padding is built up in layers to correspond to comfort, shape and contour. Hand button tufting, individually applied tacks and solid hardwood rails and feet are just some of the details which make our best leather beds the benchmark of quality and style.

Leather Beds and Headboards
Combining modern or classically updated shapes with traditional workmanship, our leather beds range from the elegantly tufted Hampton bed to the sleek and sophisticated Wing bed; an adaption of a wing back chair design. Details include thick, full grain leather and selected leathers which are hand wiped for an authentic antique appearance. Leathers are attractive and supple but retain the strength, durability and soft hand. Our button tufting is always entirely hand done using traditional techniques. Brass or silver decorative tacks are individually applied and precise welting accentuates the contours of the designs.
